1985 XV700 Virago

In 2003, bykrmom was rear-ended on her Yamaha Virago XV700 just after
she and her daughter completed a frame-up rebuild over a 5 year period.

bykrmom retained the wreck after the insurance company screwed her on it's
value, and has decided to rebuild it as a chopper. Here are a few images of it
from before the wreck.

Here are a few images from after the wreck.

Below: The backrest sheered off as bykrmom passed through it. Notice the broken billet aluminum frame. The bike's fame is 4" shorter overall after the accident. The rear fender and tail light, rear wheel, backrest and swing-arm were all damaged beyond repair. All the years of saving change and all the time and effort to do a complete frame-up restoration was gone in a split second.

Deciding to do create something new from the wreckage, I purchased
what was left from the insurance company, and began building with used parts.
Finances and a lack of time stopped me after Winter of '05.
I hope to have time and money to continue the build soon. ~bykrmom

This is as far as I got the first time.
